Bill's Wife Checks In...

Hi...

We are just headed out of town so I will make this quick, , ,, ,

I am NOT the camera buff that Bill is nor have I ever been IN to photography. In fact, I have always been very camera shy. I suppose that started back in school when they would have some "wonderful" <rolling eyes> photographer come to take the school pictures. ONE shot was all ya got. Too bad if you blinked or if you forgot to wash the chocolate pudding off your face, that's what ya got! <laffin> So needles to say, I grew up hating ANY picture of ME.

Now we have to fast forward to the present. Ever since digital photography was introduced Bill's passion for photography seemed to rekindle. I am sure that is due to the "instant gratification" factor. No longer did you have to wait until you shot the whole roll of film and wait for it to be developed to see the fruits of your labors. Now you snap the picture, take a look at it and see right then and there what mistakes you were making. No more wasted money developing out of focus, poorly composed pictures!

So now, lil ole Me had new competition for My hubby's attention! His new love was his camera! How do I compete with a Mistress like that? <grin> After a year or two of grumbling and muttering to Myself about the neglect I was feeling I suddenly thought of a way to steal back some of the attention that damned camera had stolen from Me! I would try to push aside My camera shyness and get in front of that damned lense! Now Bill would be FORCED to give Me the attention every wife wants from her hubby! <devious, scheming female grin>.............so I approached Bill, telling him that since I had joined the gym recently, I was curious to see if over time you could see a difference in My appearance andI suggested that he take a picture of Me everyday for a year. Boy was I surprised when My devious lil scheme kind of backfired on me. . . "ok" he says........"but I am going to post them on My pbase site as MY picture a day project!". . . . .. I sure was mortified at the thought of being displayed in cyberspace and I of course objected! It took us about 3 weeks to come to an agreement. I would pose for the pictures provided Bill never posted anything that was not flattering. <female ego at work there> <grin> . . AND, I refused to show any more of My "bits and pieces" than you would see in My bikini! .............and thus, the picture a day project of ME was born! <laffin>

6 months into it and I am still terribly camera shy. The most difficult thing for Me as the "model" <cringing at that title> is when we shoot someplace in public and people are watching. I feel like a damned fool! Recently Bill was shooting some pics of Me at some local warm springs and some onlookers whipped out their cameras and started taking pictures too! I was a nervous wreck and had a hell of a time trying to produce a genuine smile.

Bill is learning a lot about taking pictures of people and we are having a great time together! This project has turned out to be more entertaining than we ever imagined it would be. It's been fun to share the project with the rest of the world via the website. For the most part, viewers have been very supportive and encouraging.

sincerely,

Wanda
